Impressed with WVSOM

I recently had the opportunity to visit WVSOM and I must say it greatly overcame my expectations. The facilities were incredible. The laboratories were state of the art, clean, well organized. The anatomy lab was actually a pleasant room! It had plants hanging, a ventilation system like ive never seen and skylights! The staff and faculty were extremely hospitable and informative. I know this sounds like a plug for WVSOM, but its the truth, I was really impressed. Now, im not sure of the caliber of students or pass rates on the comlex. I do know that the out of state tuition is absolutley rediculous ( I guess thats how they pay for the state of the art equipment!) Still, Pleasantly surpised.

Speaking of which - how does one find out the pass rates at the various schools?

Most schools keep this information hidden. LECOM is very secretive about the pass rates on the boards, although rumor has it the pass rate was 90% this year.
I don't know if any other schools volunteer their pass rates, but I know LECOM doesn't.

On the impressed with WVSOM note... today I recieved a handwritten note from the Associate Dean. He happened to be one of my interviewers, and he wanted to congratulate me on my recent acceptance!! Is it just me, or is that an almost bizzare personal touch? Way over the top...😎

While the comlex pass % will vary with each class, I can say that WVSOM students are, in general, very successful on board exams. The facilities are great, my classmates are even better. Hope to see you guys in Aug!
