I took a practice DAT at Kaplan and I did horribly. No joke...
So I was wondering how much of an improvement did you see from before studying, like a diagnostics test, to the actual DAT test/practice DAT (near the end of your study) after studying a consistent amount.

I hope this makes sense... thanks.

hey! well i haven't taken the DAT yet but i do have a quick point to make... so kaplan has this "higher score guarantee" - - if your DAT score is not higher then your diagnostic score then you get another class for free. this would obviously cost them a lot of money if everyone did fairly well on their diagnostic and about the same on the DAT. so i do know that kaplan makes their diagnostic exams a little tougher so you do a bit worse than you normally would. make sense? hope this helped. im taking a kaplan class right now - so if you have any questions i would be happy to help! good luck.

Kaplan Diagnostic: 14-17 in the sciences
Real thing: 20's in the sciences

Use tests to gauge what topics you don't know and study the questions in depth.

Haven't taken the DAT yet but I'm hoping my DAT scores are better than Kaplan scores b/c they sucked! I'm getting Topscore to see how I do there.
