improving med school admissions

umm i think youre a little late....already a thread on this in the last week

Right, I read this - the data she is using is a bit skewed. First of all, her numbers are only reflecting allopathic physicians. She fails to take into account that many DO programs pride themselves on overlooking certain low scores to a degree if the candidate displays personality traits favorable to being good doctor.

With that being said, the MCAT is needed in order to see how a person may tend to perform on the USMLE. Even if a 'personality test' were implemented, eventually one would have to take step 1, 2, and 3; and once again the competition is present.

I love personality testing! I use OkCupid everyday!

mumbo jumbo pseudo-science psychobabble nonsense quackery b.s. is what this article is talking about.

might as well throw in genetic tests to see if a candidate has the right genes that are most highly correlated with med school success.

not knocking you op, but this has been discussed in another thread here.

Not knocking you, DB, but this thread is over a month old, and someone else pointed this out...so why are you reviving except to "knock the OP?"
