ok, so it looks like i'm going to be getting a b- in orgo1 this semester. is it fine if i take random science courses like intro to ecology, neuroscience... at an easier university to make up for the crappy grade?

otherwise i'm worried about a growing disparity between my cumgpa and scigpa..

I will be taking all my prereqs at my own university. also is it possible to take classes at 2 different universities at the same time, putting aside the commute and time.

has anyone done this?

You will need permission from your undergrad in order to get credit toward the degree you are pursuing. If you don't want this, then as far as I know it does not matter.

Some schools may cast a weary eye if they are taken during the school year. During the summer they tend to be more lenient as many people go home and take courses at home. You may also consider retaking the course with another professor as AACOMAS will allow you to replace some grades and will recalculate your GPA as though the first grade did not happen, though it will appear on your transcript.

That might raise some eyebrows if, of course, anyone actually looks at your transcripts after verification. Don't stress too much, OChem is a tough class. It might be more trouble than it's worth to apply to and attend a completely different college on the assumption a couple science classes might be easier there (assumptions can backfire). In my case, I had a lot of "easier" upper division science classes after my "B" in OChem at the same institution.

i was thinking about taking these classes in the summer not for my major, so i wouldnt think there would be any issues in that regard. just worried about "them adcoms", that all.
