Hi,

So I just started making payments to bring them up to current status.
Need letters to prove this.

Anybody been in my situation?

Thanks in advance.

I knew someone in that position, they had to get a relative to co-sign which was quite difficult.

First off, letters that your account are in current satisfactory standing they can provide you with. If they tell you otherwise, they're lying. Now b/c you just started making payments might be why they are not writing you a letter. So ask for an explaination of why they will not write the letter.

I'm guessing you are referring to private loans here, as federal loans are not based on credit score ...

If they won't write a letter can you get them to update the info on your credit report to show you have been making the payments? Make sure you ask for a supervisor, they usually have the power to do things that the regular phone monkeys can't do - like send you payment letters. I agree with mshheaddoc though, it could be because you haven't been paying long enough.
