Technically brightness is measured in the SI unit of the candela. It is a way of describing the power of light ( energy per time) per area per solid angle.

Intensity is just the power per unit area and does not take into account the wavelength of the light, reflection, or the angle.

So sort of....?

More intense light may be brighter, but intensity is not a measure of brightness.
