Hi,

I was wondering from which subject did you guys start out studying for step 1? Was there any order you followed to go over FA? What's the best way to go over all the subjects?

Also, which subject took you the longest to finish?

Thank you all in advance for your responses!

Biochem
Basic pharm + autonomic
Microbio
Immuno
Basic path
Heme/Onco
Cardio
Renal/Resp
Repro/Endocrine
Gastro
Musculoskeletal
Neuro/Psych
Embryo/Behavioral

This is how I did it. Whatever works for you tbh but Biochem was a good starting point for me because I was so weak at it. Also I did BRS Physio & Pathoma with relevant sections.

I would recommend doing the basics first to lay the foundation. Start with your weakest (mine was biochemistry) and end with your strongest. After that, start on systems. I recommend combining some systems since they can so easily be studied together to help in your understanding of the big picture.

Example:
1. CV + renal + respiratory
2. Endocrine + reproductive + GI
3. Hematology/oncology
4. Musculoskeletal + neurology + psychiatry

Do those in whatever order you'd like. I think studying them together helps with integration, which is so important. As you study, attempt to pick out the commonalities and crossover between systems. This is what boards wants you to understand: how do all of these systems work together/crossover in the big picture?
