In which order do you recommend taking NBME tests?

I have about 5 weeks left to the test. I am planning to take the NBME tests starting next week. My plan is to allocate the first two weeks of October to take NBME tests and subsequently improve the weaknesses predicted by the results. Yet, I was not sure in which order most people recommend taking them? Or doesn't matter? My plan is to take two of them on Oct 2nd and spend a week on improving the weaknesses, and take the other two maybe on october 7th with subsequent attempt to improve weaknesses as well. Your advice and suggestions are truly appreciated. regards

Id go
NBme 1
then NBME 3
then NBME 4
then NBME 2

2 was the closest to mine and my buddies. NBME 3 and 4 sometimes tends to underpredict your scores.. in my opinion NBME 1 is a joke..but it makes you familiar with the format and what they want

any more thoughts on this from this year?

good order to take?

ive done 4 already before studying - worst idea! but good motivation. 🙂

anyone?

seems like 2 was a good predictor last year -

any idea one where to throw in 5 and 6 -- ?

would a good order be 3, 2, 5, 6?

one per weekend during last month -

thank you

Here's the thing: I don't think it really matters what order you do them in. Just take as many as you can fit into your study plan. However, if you have discovered that you may be deficient in a certain area or areas after taking a few, study that material for a day instead of taking another NBME. Also, Google hard to find the answers after every section so you can get something out of taking all those questions. I think the main benefit of taking the NBMEs is becoming familiar with how the USMLE asks questions. I didn't see any of the same questions on my exam and the format is the same as USMLEWorld. Good luck!

Edit: I don't currently have a copy of the NBME answers and I had to Google pretty hard to find them when I did. Be the ball and you will have success.

i agree with everything that registereduser just said. the order doesn't matter. the emphasis should be more on gaining familiarity and less on predicting scores. the tests should also be used as a platform to learn new material
