Did anyone else out there get an Indiana rejection today? Sheesh, that stinks!

Your DAT looks well above avg. Are you outta state? If you don't mind, how's your GPA?

What are your stats?

sorry to hear that..

did they ask for application fee? I haven't heard from them since the email saying my AADSAS was received. was wondering we should just send a check?

wow sucks. They emailed me to send them an unofficial dat score by fax. They still didnt ask me for a fee. So I called them, and they told me that I only pay the fee if I get an interview. I like Indiana already 😛

Make that two. I really like how it rolls.

I don't like schools who want an essays, money and then, well, we'll see if you're good enough

My predents id is DDSorBust for those of you who were wondering early.

Yeah, same with UF. They only want your money and essay when they think you're good enough for an interview.

got the rejection email today.. great start to the apps cycle.. makes me feel very optimistic :/

I think they look at GPA's more according to the input data on the predents

Dreamscometrue5 & Spartandentist, it's ok about getting a quick rejection. I received a rejection from Loma Linda like 2 weeks after I applied. I thought to myself, "I'm doomed". A month later the interviews started coming. Don't panic just yet!

To everyone that got rejection letters don't worry too much about. This is my fourth time applying to dental school. I have 27 rejection letters. Just save them in a little folder and when you finally get into dental school burn them while you sit back and drink a beer.🙂

And from my experiences its almost better to get straight up rejections, because a lot of schools just put your application on hold for 6 months giving you false hope before they reject you...haha.

You guys are right..better to get a quick rejection. They saved me the application fee. I guess the only way to survive this app cycle is to stay positive 😉

Thanks 🙂

Don't worry Rob. Cheer up! I know you want to get into dental school.

But guess what? IUSD is terrible and the facilties are old, some of hte faculties think they're tyrants, and this dental school is like a North Korean gulag!

The dental lab is in the basement floor and is like a dungeon.

You'll be very very very happy that you won't be coming to IUSD. 👍

I wish you luck with the other BETTER dental schools out there. 🙂

I just got rejected from Indiana University today. It's my first rejection (actually my first rejection to any college, ever). I'm taking it positively though. I know I'm a stellar applicant in some ways and a terrible applicant in others, and I expect to receive some rejections, but I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope something good happens at the other schools to which I've applied.

I find it interesting that the rejection email does not use the word "rejection" anywhere. They used euphemisms like "not being considered" and "withdrawn" instead. I guess it softens the blow.

Your positive attitude will take you far.
