Hey guys, i just got an interview invitation to IU SOD, but it says that I have to finish all the pre-req like chem, ochem and so on.
However, they also req ANATOMY WITH LAB ?? and this has to be done by june 30th, 2007... is this true??
the thing is i'm not in school anymore and i did take anatomy but without the lab ( i could never take the lab as it was always full so i ended up taking physio with lab)
what should i do now?? i'm super confused!!
please share if anyone else has the same issue as mine...

Be glad you aren't in the IU system. If you go to IU (which I do) you have to take two semesters of A&P with Lab 10 hrs. It sucks because the specific class if for nurses and is extremely boring. It was easy except for the anatomy part.

At my school, you cant take the lab by its self. You had to enroll in the class at the same time. You should start making some phone calls to find out what you have to do before spring semester.

i guess i have to call tomo 🙁
anyone else with same issue?? please share your experience
thanks!

I know that Dr. Kasberg is very serious about completing all of the pre-reqs prior to entering IUSD. I would make the call and figure out how they would prefer you satisfy their lab requirement. Just as a question, are you in state or out of state?? I am just wondering if they are giving more out of state interviews.

i'm out of state, specifically out of the country and this interview is for alternate list... i guess their class is full already

does anyone know who I should talk to regarding this matter??

Like other people have said, IUSD is very inflexible about not letting anyone in unless they've completed all the prerequisite coursework. The IUSD website lists all the prereqs and specifies that lab is required for anatomy. Good luck in your applications.

Cant speak for him, but I got an interview and I am out of state. Dont think I'll use it thought but I'm unsure.

I can GUARANTEE that IU will not budge on what they tell you you need to complete before matriculation. The only thing you can do is find someway to satisfy that requirement... Do you have any local university or colleges around you? I'd check with IU to see if you can satisfy the anatomy lab credit a local school.

I would contact Dr. Kasberg's office and get your options from the horse's mouth so to speak. We are closed for Christmas break right now but you can e-mail and you will get a response asap.
