I just wanted to know if we absolutely have to get the forms in the application packet in before our interview. One of my people still hasn't gotten the personal evaluation form and my interview is on WEDNESDAY 😱. Needless to say I'm freaking out! Should I just call them and ask them what to do? :scared:

Giving them a call sounds like a good idea...

Hi

For anyone with a MSAR close by. Could you please check if U. of Indiana definitely invites to interview everyone they send a secondary to? Thanks your help is greatly appreciated. 😉

They do.

Those bastards. I lived in Indiana for 12 years and now just because I'm no longer a resident they still don't give me a chance =P

Messed up Pewl,

are you having better luck with other schools?

Also, does anyone know like % of applicants accepted once they get an interview? etc etc thanks.

I received my secondary after the interview invite. (I actually interviewed there last week...) It's ideal to have everything submitted at the time of your interview, but it's not required, so don't worry. Try to get everything in as soon as possible, though, because they admissions committee won't review your entire file unless everything is in (and this includes your interview score). Good luck at your interview! 🙂

Chopianista, once you are interviewed, do you how long before you know their decision?

I have a good friend who is a MSII at IU, the acceptance rate is about 50% for in-state applicants.

Hi Raven Feather

50% once they interview or from the moment they apply? thanks

and any ideas on the stats for out-of-staters? Thanks.

Apparently, the admissions committee meets once a month to review complete files (meaning, files that include interview socres). I was told that I wouldn't hear back before Nov. 15th.

Oh yeah-- and I'm also curious about the acceptance rate for out-of-state interviewees. 🙂 Anyone know?

According to MSAR:

for 2004 - 2005 class,
non-resident
applied 1587
interviewed 290
matriculated 30/280

resident
applied 598
interviewed 537
matriculated 248/280

And according to Princeton Review Guide to Medical School about 16.8% accepted are out of state.

Thanks Rayhan

That was helpful
