Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anybody knows of some good articles looking at if an indirect pulp cap material such as Ultrablend or Dycal is needed or will sealing the tooth with a bonded restoration without a special pulp cap material work as well. This is for vital, asymptomatic teeth.

Doing the research its limited and almost exclusively primary teeth which is understandable. But was seeing if anybody knew any good articles.

Thanks

Well, if you're close to the pulp, an indirect pulp cap is indicated. I also put a gi liner over the ultrablend (I use lime light). Then restore and hope for the best. Tell pt it's deep and may need rct in the future.
