Just received acceptance off the waitlist for IU (main campus) and need some input from current students on your opinions of the school. I would be coming from out of state and only have what i saw during my interview day to go on. I definitely was impressed but would really like to hear from other students, especially regarding the first two years.

Also looking for a current matchlist...

Thanks

From the area.....i would say if you are not white, dont go there.

I had a 3.9 from Case Western and 33 MCAT. I spent the first half of my interview talking about my ethnicity. The last five to ten minutes were spent discussing how I was a subpar candidate. Maybe it was just the old bastard who interviewed me....and hopefully an isolated incident. Regardless, its good u got the main campus ....stear clear of Lafayette.

But get other opinions....if u're a minority stick clear of Lafayette (heard there was some incident there a few years back) if u're at Indianapolis and Bloomington i think u'll be ok. The school has a good name and its research is top notch. good luck.

HAHAHA   🙄

I've lived around Indy all my life. It is about the most benign (and boring) place in the country for ANYONE. Even if you are a black midget lesbian, I wouldn't worry.

Hey cromagnon! I'll be starting IU this fall, but I'll be at the Muncie campus the first two years. Do you have other options or will you definitely be going to IU? Did you get a list of 2nd year contacts? You could email them to get more info about what IU's like the first two years. If not, PM me and I can give you a few (all from the Muncie Center though).
