What are the cheapest good quality post-baccs? I'm in Boston, and I know HES is a very inexpensive, yet highly regarded post-bacc. You can't beat $900 per course, or $7200 for the whole thing.

But I would like to know if there are any similar programs in other parts of the country. Anybody know of any?

Thanks in advance!

If you're looking for a structured program, there are similar programs at Berkeley and UCLA. You'd need to get CA residency to see any cost benefit.

In general, if you're just looking to get the prereqs done cheaply, the public state universities are the way to do it. Make sure to do your homework on whether the premed prereqs have competitive registration, and on whether it's possible to get admitted as a non-degree-seeking postbac vs. just taking classes as a nonmatric. If you're admitted then you have access to financial aid, advising, and priority registration.

All this said, having done a full-time postbac at a huge prestigious crazy crowded state school, I made a bad choice. I would have had more success at a structured program such as Bennington or Mills, and it would have absolutely been worth the money.

Best of luck to you.
