Hey guys, I was just wondering if schools just see your most recent scores or do they average your scores or do they take the best scores?

Thanks.

most schools will take your most recent DAT score. there are a few schools out there that will take your best DAT score I believe, but its a safe bet that if you are going to retake it, you better be pretty sure you will do better, by preparing more and more efficiently than last time you took it. What are your scores if you dont mind sharing?

Hey bing, these are my scores from last august:

PAT-17 (42.4%)
QR- 14 (32.9 %)
RC- 19 (67.6%)
Bio- 18 (72.1%)
GC- 25 (98.9%)
OC- 21 (89.7%)

TS- 20 (91.3%)
AA- 19 (85.4%)

and from the pre dental forums you know my cGPA is 2.89 and sGPA: 2.99

So what do you think? retake and post bac/masters or just post bac/masters?

Thanks for your advice, I really appreciate it.

If i were you, i would try to get my G.P.A past that 3.0 mark..both of them if its possible. take as many classes as you can this semester while you can sign up right now, and get past that 3.0 mark..i would reapply with the stats you have , but prob to several schools( just because you dont have much to lose ). i would also apply to a master program. I DONT THINK u need to retake the DAT, your scores are legit. the only red flag is the QR, but a good amount of schools dont care about that score, so its a little fine. that is the only reason I would retake it if i were you, but it seems as if now you should focus on your gpa, not your DAT.

I agree with Bing, your scores are pretty decent. Definitely apply to your state schools and raise that GPA.
I am sure if you do decide retake you will do better, since you know what to expect now.

Thanks guys, this makes me feel better. Now I need to scramble to register late at my school for a couple courses this sem. Grrreeeat lol
