I have what is supposed to be an informal phone call today from my POI. We have an official interview sometime in February. In his email he mentioned talking about the program and research with which I would be involved if I were accepted. Any suggestions on questions to ask him? I just don't want to ask all my questions because then what would I have to ask during my interview. Also, do you think I may be asked personal questions about my past research experience, etc. today? I'm just worried it will turn into an interview and I won't be ready. Thanks.

If I were you, I would assume it's going to be a formal interview and be prepared. Check out the thread that lists some questions to ask. There are lots of them, and you'll never get to them all on interview day so you won't have to worry about repeating.
