Retaking the C+ in General Chem I and a C in Biochem would help show that you can handle the course work - if you think you can get an A. It won't have the GPA boast, but it helps paint the picture of "I screwed up the first time around, and now I've sorted it out and its As".
It might be advisable to take a few other courses to help move the GPA upwards - a whole semester/year of undergrad-post bac work at 3.7-4.0 might move you into a competitive range. If not, it definitely sets you up for a top SMP, and then in great standing to apply after that.
A word of warning - if you repeat the C+ in General Chem I and a C in Biochem, and get anything less than an A-... then you are proving you really aren't ready for med/dent school. the worst thing that could happen would be another C, or even an B-/B, as it would seal your deal. So, you HAVE to get an A/A-
