Hello Snanga,

you should visit the ADA website and visit their licensure page, There they have lots of great info. Also get their phone number and call the office and request an National Board Dental Examination part I Application packet. In this packet is included a booklet about licensure in the US for foreign trained dentist.

You should also check out this website, they have a great e-book about the topic, I bought it and is very helpful. http://www.overseasdentist.com/

Hope this helps.

snanga ..

to make it very simple for you u have 3 options ... to my knowledge..

1: the traditional route to practice in ANY STATE in the US ..

pass NDBE 1 and 2 .. then complete a 2 or 3 year advanced standing DDS/DMD program (pay tuition for dental school) .. practice anywhere in the country after u take the regional licensure

2: pass NDBE 1 and 2 .. apply for the CA bench .. pass it then take the CA licensure test ..then practice but ONLY in CA

3: complete a speciality program ( endo, prostho, pedo etc..etc..etc..) and a FEW states will/may consider you for their licensure..some may require you to pass NBDE 1 and 2 also ..

hope that helps..
