I recently re-took the mcat, and received my new score yesterday. I'm applying this cycle have sent out roughly 15 secondary applications with a few remaining to be completed.

My new MCAT score is better than my first, and i DID mention on my AMCAS application that I would be retaking it. I am just wondering, do I need to notify some or all of the schools that I have already submitted my secondary applications to, that my new MCAT score has been posted?

I'm just worried that they may have reviewed my application and discarded it before this new score was posted. There are also a few schools that I have not yet received secondaries from. Should I email them as well, considering I may have been pre-screened out with my previous MCAT score?

Thanks for the help 🙂

If you indicated that you are retaking the MCAT on your primary, then schools don't review your file until that score is in. The score appears automatically so you shouldn't have to do anything.

That's what I had originally thought, but I did receive one interview invite before my new score was in. That made me wonder whether or not other schools had reviewed my file before the new score was posted.
