Does an inpatient setting in skilled nursing/extended care facility setting where the patients stay from a few days (after hospital stay) to long-term (resident) a good "inpatient" setting, or is a hospital inpatient setting more so what schools are looking for?

(Not sure if that made complete sense, but hopefully someone understands.)

I don't think PT schools necessarily favor one inpatient setting over another. They're both solid observation opportunities. Hospital inpatient is more common in some areas but SNF and nursing homes are just as good.

A few of the schools I applied to required a minimum of 20 hours in acute care. I'd check with your schools just to make sure.
