I am an MSIII, here are my stats:

BS-2000
MS-2001

DO/MBA-2005 (4 year program)
Class rank 35/244
USMLE I: 230/93
COMLEX I: 629/93%ile
Some Research-no publications (however am working on a case study for publication)

Will this get me an interview at some institutions in the Midwest?

Thank you.

The past few years ~2 DOs per year have matched into allopathic derm.Without having done research in Dermatology or having connections, your stats on their own will likely not get you in.People with higher scores and class rank from allopathic schools often do not match. You should look into DO Derm residencies. They do not accept allopathic applicants and your record may stand out-connections are important. Since no one really can tell you if you will be interviewed or not....go ahead and apply but make alternate plans as well.

...any other DOs applying this year to allopathic derm residencies?

even with MD, it would be an uphill battle with your stats. honest truth. not entirely impossible, but close to it especially without research or connections. this is in response to the OP from 2003.

but in response to the bump...i think it will depend on several factors, such as your board score, research, any connections.

DO + low Step 1 = bad start
