I was just accepted to a couple of schools and I am pretty sure I will be attending uconn.

Any comments about the school? Anything I should know?
Can someone please elaborate on the entire experience?

Also I believe they take their boards after the 1st year (some have said this is beneficial) is that because the info is fresh in our minds at that point? any opinions about this point?

UConn has been heavily discussed on SDN; I'll bet a quick search of the pre-dental and dental forums will show a lot of the threads (including lots of debating 😉)

I graduated in 2006 and they weren't doing part one after the first year. We all took it during late second year. I don't recall anything changing for the classes that came after me, unless there's been a recent change after I finished.

Hi,
I just got accepted into Uconn, STony Brook and Columbia. I thought initially that I would definitely go to Uconn because of the location and the school itself - very modern, new technology and the people seemed very friendly. I also am not yet sure if I want to specialize or not so want to leave options open. HOwever, I've heard a lot of discussion on these forums..not sure how reliable they are..that Uconn has a very stressful reputation - work students to the ground and many students are miserable..I was wondering if any current students or recent grads to please share their experience about Uconn! I would really appreciate it!
