Hi,
I am an undergraduate at Case, so I am probably only qualified to respond to the "living in Cleveland" part of your question. I did hear however from a friend who works in the medical school's registrar that they were implementing a new program that would require their students to learn their first two years of education in a year and a half and those four extra months would be spent doing research. I'm sure that's not news to you if you've looked into the school though. That aspect of the program doesn't sound particularly interesting to me, but I don't value research as much as others do. I am personally interested in their turning towards PBL because I know I want to do a similar program when I attend medical school (just not at Case). It does make me wonder though, if I'm teaching myself through research and independent study, where is my tuition going?

Anyway, I was going to comment on Cleveland....I'm not a huge fan of Cleveland, but some people like it. Case is located in the best part of the city and there are a lot of resources here and the area is technically rich with culture and museums.

I'm not sure what area you would be moving from, but if your weather is at all nice where you are now, consider your options carefully. I am strongly affected by the weather as are many students here and it can be depressing to experience winter for half of the year. Make a visit to Cleveland and I suggest visiting some local shops/food places/talk with locals and see if you feel comfortable here.
