I've just picked my A levels with a view to study dentistry in the future, I know a couple of dentists and talked to them about there job however I still don't really know what to expect have you any storys, websites or books I can read to learn more about what I hope to be an exicting career

I've just picked my A levels with a view to study dentistry in the future, I know a couple of dentists and talked to them about there job however I still don't really know what to expect have you any storys, websites or books I can read to learn more about what I hope to be an exicting career

A-levels? Are you from UK or something? Anyway, ask one of the dentists you spoke with to see if you can shadow/observe them. It would be the best way for you to see dentistry and get an idea of the types of things happen everyday.

This forum is primarily for US-based dental schools. I'm not too familiar with the English system.

My understanding is that you take your A levels in certain courses such as bio, chem, math. Do well in all of them and you apply for dentistry to universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Warwick etc...

I would just continue to shadow a local dentist, that will be the best information you will receive, a book just doesnt do it. I would do a quick spell check on your post, spelling is horrendous!
