I've read through the other institutional action threads, but none of them seem to address the question of anyone getting an institutional action after submitting the primary application to AMCAS.

I just went to my registrar's office and they said that information regarding institutional actions are not included on our transcripts. Is this the normal procedure?

If I get accepted somewhere, I assume I will have to send another transcript to prove that I didn't tank all of my senior classes. If there is no mention of this institutional action on my transcript, do you think medical schools can find out?

"Applicants who become the subject of an institutional action after certifying and submitting the AMCAS application must inform their designated medical schools that an action has occurred."

In certifying your AMCAS submission you agreed to abide by their rules. If that isn't enough incentive, then consider that if a med school finds out later, it can rescind your acceptance or even your medical degree after you earn it: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=680032
