Insulin & Epinephrine.

Beta 2 agonist on pancreas is stimulated by Epinephrine to release Insulin whereas alpha 2 stimulation by epi decreases insulin. So in a fight or flight situation, we want more glucose in the system correct? So does the increased epi stimulate the alpha 2 on pancreas to decrease insulin? So confused right now, could some one shed some light on this please? Thank you.

The alpha2 effect usuallly dominates over the beta2 effect, i.e. it is stronger. In a fight-or-flight situation, you want to be making energy (i.e. glycogenolysis, gluconeogenesis) and using your energy, not storing it.
