Biochemistry was definitely a weakness for me. I had heard that for insulin and glucagon signaling it can boiled down to two things:
1) Insulin works via Tyr Kinase mechanism to activate PHOSPHATASES
2) Glucagon works via cAMP second messengers to activate KINASES
It seems logical, but is it correct? (I know this is oversimplified but I need some more overarching themes).
