What is the mechanism of action of insulin? How does it help the cell intake glucose and how does it cause glucose to be stored as glycogen and fat?

Thanks!! 🙂

It binds to a receptor. It converts a tyrosine I believe into an active form. This causes your cell to take in sugar. Does it really matter? You don't need to know the mechanism, just know its a peptide hormone from the beta cells.
