With finals right around the corner, and worrying about everything else (MCAT, EC's - Etc) I have been told several times that I look stressed out or super tired. I see it as a badge of honor since I'm busting my A**, but I might actually be walking around looking like a zombie or something lol
Not really sure what I'm trying to get at, but what do you guys think? Insult or compliment(in disguise) haha
Good luck on finals BTW!!

I think when somebody says that, they're just expressing concern. Neither insult nor compliment.

I'd say neither... I think you're looking too much into it and people are just being honest with you about looking stressed

What they are probably trying to say is that you looked stressed out or super tired.

Insult. If several people noticed enough that they felt they had to say something you should take note.

I'd say you're being a little sensitive but I don't want you to feel insulted 😉

that doesnt sound like an insult to me

Yea I am taking it more as a sign of concern. Means I got good people looking after me! Trust, I am a nontrad I've had my golden years.
I see it as ~complimentary because I have been putting in a lot of work. Ill make sure to take a breather after these finals!

Someone told me my shirt looked red today, was it an insult or compliment?

Insult... Whenever someone tells me I look "tired", it's cause I look like ****.

But knowing you look like **** is because you're working your ass off is a compliment. So both?

I'd find it hard to believe that anyone would say that as a compliment, even if disguised. Probably not an insult, unless if they're following it up with some gibe about how XYZ might be too much for you to handle.
Concern for your well-being, maybe with a lingering doubt of whether you're cut out for pre-med/medicine.

What even is this thread?
