so i'm calling around this morning and lo and behold i find out that CA doesn't have medicaid (yeah, i'm ignorant). So if people don't qualify for Medical (i.e. 21+), what's the best way to go about getting financial aid for health related problems? what insurance do you guys have that will cover a lot of things, including chiropractic visits?

I thought Medical is Medicaid.. I'm get to still be under my mommy's Blue Cross because they said they'll consider me as a student until I'm 24 or something.. 😛 After that I'll have to worry about that too..

Student insurance through your university. 👍

I doubt they cover chiropractic visits though.

they do. i called. it's pretty sh*tty tho. $25/visit, up to 4 visits/yr.

medical is California's medicaid, I guess they thought it would be cool to call it "CAL" instead of "CAID" 😀

Even if you qualify for this, there are still quite a few things that aren't covered, and it takes a lot of work to get TAR's (Treatment Authorization Requests) to be authorized. Oh the joys of third party problems.... 😳
