Which is more important, integrity or intellect? I cannnot seem to come up with an answer for this interview question.

Sorry i wrote intelligence instead of integrity on the thread starter, but i saw this quesiton twice; one said intelligence or intellect? the other said integrity or intellect?...i'm thinking the first one was a mistake...maybe, or does that question also make sense?

Any suggestions?

Why are you stressing over this question?

Intelligence or intellect makes no sense.

As for you coming up with an answer to Integrity vs. Intellect, that's really a decision you need to make yourself. Try to think of people you know who fill the different bills and consider which type of person you value more and why.

You could rephrase the question like this:

Who would you rather have as a doctor?
A doctor who makes mistakes more often, but is willing to own up to his mistakes and try to help rectify his errors. A doctor who sometimes doesn't always know the answer or how to treat a problem, but tells you and is willing to look for answers.

or

A doctor who almost never makes a mistake, but if he did, would find an excuse, and probably believe that the mistake wasn't his to begin with. A doctor who can answer all your questions and knows pretty much everything that needs to be known in a situation, but even if he didn't, would probably not let you know about the deficiency because in his mind, it's so minor.

integrity. dont lie to your patients!

it's a lose/lose question. missing one virtue'll always be a bad thing. move on with your life.

I'm assuming you have an interview at marquette? i got the same question when i went there to interview last year.

just say they are both important because you feel bad ranking things because evreryone should be winners in the book of life. You don't want to hurt integrity's feelings nor do you want to hurt the feelings of intellect.

Any interviewer who asks this question is clearly an idiot. These *****s need to come up with questions that allow you to speak your mind instead of give a stupid "one or the other" answer.

What do they think your answer will be a gateway to understanding who you are?

I hate stupid flawed questions and the idiots who ask them. If I got that question, they would not get a simple answer out of me.
