for current dental students,

are there any interaction with undergraduate people of ur university?

I just want to know if there's a lot of chances to meet undergraduate students, make friends with them and even gf if possible.

I know that some schools are far apart from its undergraduate school,
but i know that upenn has its dental school with the undergraduate school
so would appreciate if penn dental students or any other dental school student gives info on this.

Thanks.

Nope.

Our undergrad school is several miles down the road from us. We never see those kids and I am glad for it. While we are busting our asses trying to become doctors they are out partying and reaking havoc on the campus.

UM dental school is right on main campus where all the undergrads are so you will see lots of the undergrads here. Don't know of other schools.

UCSF has no undergrads on campus, but we have a pharmacy school (80% female), medical school (60% female), and graduate nursing school (>95% female). It's not a lot, but it's what we've got. Also, our dental school class is 70% female.

I go to penn for undergraduate, and I know that there is at least one dental student who is an Graduate Assistant (like a R.A.-->resident assistant) and who is also on a south asian dance troupe (composed mostly of undergrads). There's also another dental student who is (or was, i don't know) in the same dance troupe. You can also choose to live in Sansom West, where some undergraduates live (although getting a place closer to the dental school off campus may be cheaper). You can also choose to get involved in ASDA, which helps out pre-dents... or intramural teams that usually have limited spots for grad students. It depends on the club, I think, but no one's really going to stop you from interacting with undergrads if that's what you really want.

sounds like someone wants a lady friend haha

anyway, to answer your question, chances of meeting undergrads is really small for dental students. As you mentioned, alot of dental campuses are really far away from the undergrad campus. Also, you'll be very busy with your dental work, which minimizes your opportunity of meeting people. In some schools, dental students do interact quite a bit with med students though so you won't be entirely socially isolated. It's time for you to grow out of the undergrad phase and enter the real world.

I wouldn't say that dental school is the real world.

What does him wanting to meet a girl have to do with 'getting out of the undergrad phase'. You go to school in NYC which is certainly not comparable to more campus-based schools. At least at UNC, you could go out to bars on thursdays and weekends and be surrounded by beautiful, southern belles who were 18-22. 👍 It's a good thing I chose not to enter the 'real world', I guess 🙄
