Interested in a TX SMP (UNTHSC)

I'm considering a TX SMP given that my graduating GPA will most likely be in the 3.2 range. Does anyone have any information on the SMP for UNTHSC? What are the application requirements and does anyone know how TX MD schools view SMPs? What is the cost of doing this one year program? I believe that UNT also guarantees an interview into their DO school and was wondering about the validity of this statement? Thank you!

I have a friend who did this program and can confirm this.
