I have a biochemistry bachelors degree with a 3.44 gpa. I was originally interested in dental school, but with a few changes in life etc, i can't afford to take out huge loans to go to school for 4 years and need to start off with a career soon.
I was thinking of applying to SUNY downstate and Pace University's PA program, but my only concern the type of health care experience these programs are looking for. I have experience as a physical therapy assistant, which also gives me patient contact experience. Does anyone know if this experience is adequate? What sorts of experience are they looking for because getting a medical assistant job without having prior experience or certification is very difficult.
I need advice asap
thanks!

Best advice is to call the program. Some schools will require 5000 hours, some none. Some will accept PT assistant, some won't. Good luck....
