hello all, is it okay to send emails to 2 different professors in one program to indicate my interest in working with them? in the graduage school guide book, they discourage it; they suggest to stick to one person and if i must, then i should let the professors know about this. any thoughts?
thanks,

I'm curious to hear responses to this (although it will be too late for me) as I only sent emails to one professor in each program. I wonder if you have sent any emails yet in the programs where you have this problem. For instance, I had the same problem as you and when I emailed one professor I knew he wasn't taking students and encouraged that I speak with other faculty.

yes I think it is fine if you have more than one interesting person to work with. Just make sure the area they work in is one of your true interests.
