Hey guys I have a question, when you choose to do a random test that includes all the sections, does crack pat pull questions randomly from ALL test. For example would you have a pattern fold question from test 5 mixed in with a pattern folding question from test 8? The reason I ask this is because I'm running into something weird when I select random test. I find that when I'm doing cube counting, that I'll be presented with figure A, I go about counting tallying the cubes, I answer the first question, and hit next. The next figure is also "figure A" but it's completely different from the previous "figure A". This happens throughout the entire section, I end up with multiple figure "X" that are completely different from each other, and as a result I have to do cube counting for almost 15 different figures! When I do an individual "section test" lets say, I just want to do cube counting in test 6, I do get figures that stay the same, and therefore can answer 3-4 questions about a single figure. I hope I didn't confuse anybody, I would appreciate some feedback.

i've been experiencing the same thing when i do random test. i've been doing random tests from the start and i figured the program was designed like that. so i've been counting cubes for different figures every question. but what i have noticed is i keep getting some questions i've seen before with a combination of new ones for every other section. based off that i'd say a random test selects 15 question out of the bank of questions and makes it into a test.

Its ok if the program does that, but not for cube counting. One of the reasons you invest time upfront with tallying on cube counting is because you'll be able to answer 3 or 4 questions from 1 figure, it would be normal to see 4 or five figures total in that section. But when you do "random" you might end up having to do the cube counting for 15 different figures! thats not cool, and I'm almost positive the real test doesn't make you do that.

lol But if you finish a random test having 15 different cube figures with time to spare, you will know you should have no problems with timing on the DAT. And I didn't. 🙂

file a complaint? i think they just created a general algorithm so we can have that option for a random test. the test doesn't make you count 15 figures, but i'm already used to it.
