I'm not sure what type of opinion you're looking for but, as a Texas physician, I can tell you it is true.
Many of the residents at my program (and in other programs in my hospital) are having a very long process for licensing.
My opinion is that tort reform has worked in spectacular fashion here. Our premiums are down, as are lawsuits. There are more malpractice carriers offering policies and more physicans wanting to work in the state.
As of yet, there are no secret meetings of physicans planning malpractice since we're 'no longer accountable'. Shockingly, physicians continue to care for patients with the patient's best interest at heart.
