Is anyone involved in any interesting pathology research? Or does anyone have any ideas that they've always thought about looking into but never got around to?

If you can't guess it's a slow Saturday here and I'm trying to keep myself sane while on call...... 😴

I wonder if this is not a question you should be asking your research mentor? 🙂

To put things in perspective - this is an Internet forum and the cool people who hang out here are mostly residents and medical students.

My guess is that you're a med student - but let me know if I'm wrong.

If you're interested in research (and you don't have to be), then your first task should be to find yourself a mentor. Med students aren't called upon to provide the idea that fuels the project. A prof who takes research students will be much better placed to find an appropriate project, since they are leaders in their field of interest.

Actually I'm a premed, but I was just trying to make conversation (I'm already working on a research project of my own). Like I said, I'm stuck at home today on call for work and can't really do anything so I was trying to stir up a little discussion on stuff.....
