I've been searching old threads trying to find answers concerning Interfolio and the application process, but they didn't really answer my questions. I was wondering how you should go about sending your LOR's. Can you send your matching form to interfolio to send to the AADSAS? Should you send your LOR to each school, or do some schools require you to send your LOR's by AADSAS (do they have a preference)? Anyone that can give advice on the best way to go about this would be great. I've asked a few professors for letters, and the matching form is making the process more difficult for them because they have to wait until the middle of may. I'm just worried this is going to cause problems. Is the matching form necessary?

im in the same position, i signed up for interfolio, and i actually had some of my req letters sent there. now im not sure if interfolio will attatch a matching form to it and send it to aadsas or if i have to get my teachers to resend the letters with matching form (making interfolio a waste of money). From what ive heard/read is that aadsas charges for the rec letter service...soo, can anyone confirm this? would this require, if using interfolio, that letters are all sent to schools individually? or should we ask interfolio to send them to aadsas??

I've asked this before and either nobody knows the answer or nobody is telling...I'm hoping that we can upload the AADSAS matching form into the LOR files ourselves, but I don't know if we can. I know someone else has used interfolio, but she didn't respond with an answer for exactly how she used it. The whole matching form thing is pretty annoying... 😡

I just did some quick reading on the Interfolio site...if we need to use the matching forms we'll need to create a separate document for them (I think). When we request documents to be sent they are sent in the order we designate. So I don't see why we can't send the form and then the LOR that goes with it, etc.

I did call AADSAS and try to figure out if we had to use their forms if we went thru interfolio and the woman I spoke with hadn't even heard of interfolio and she didn't have a clue...

Therefore, you do not even need for your LOR to go through AADSAS at all.

I have also known people to use Interfolio and have great sucess.

Thanks for the input, I just spoke with a friend who said basically the same thing, I guess I won't even bother going through AADSAS. Hey, are you a USF bull?

yea i just read a little aadsas packet thing, we can send the LORS directly to schools, but aadsas does need transcripts. So we can just use interfolio it seems to send it out straight to the schools and no "transcript matching" form is needed.

Dear AADSAS Applicant:

The 2006 Transcript Matching Form will be available to print from inside your custom 2006 AADSAS Application, you will be able to print this form from your application prior to submitting this main application available in mid-May. You must have this form attached to the transcript and you must follow the mailing direction on the Matching Form.

You should assemble all official transcripts from every school you have attended beginning with the first undergraduate semester at your home. If the registrar is unable to send the transcripts to you, be certain they do not send these documents before getting the 2006 Matching Form and before the 2006 cycle begins. Be certain to have the Matching form attached to each transcript and be certain the directions on the form are followed. To be safe, you should request all school transcripts including schools where you earned transfer credits be sent according to the directions on the 2006 Matching Form. The AADSAS Transcript verification Department will be receiving Official Transcripts and will verify your course code entries compared to the official Transcripts sent in your custom 2006 AADSAS Application.

Do NOT use the 2005 Matching Form.

Using the 2006 new AADSAS Matching Form only.

This year, the 2006 Transcript Matching Form becomes available in mid-May and can be printed from within the new 2006 AADSAS Application, it must be attached to each of your official transcripts and sent via US Mail to the new address according to the directions on the form.

as far as letters of recommendation sent to them from Interfolio he said that they would be able to match the letters with the correct app based on the name, SSN, etc provided by Interfolio.

as far as transcripts go, we can print out the 2006 form next week, fill it out ourselves, and include it in an envelope with the transcripts.

Also, they don't accept faxed transcripts
