Hello SDN,

I want to be as early of an applicant as I can be. So, what is the consensus, interfolio or direct submission of LORs to aadsas?
I have heard that interfolio can be kind of difficult in terms of successful submission, time of submission, and overall hassle? Is this true? I don't know if it is really worth the time loss and hassle if this is true...
I think the people that I am getting LORs would be easy to get ahold of around June 1st and quick to submit.
So, what would be the need of using interfolio?
Do schools typically have you submit other letters of recommendation as part of the supplemental application? In this case, interfolio might be handy. But, I figure most schools only need the LORs that you submit to aadsas the one time.

I used Interfolio this past cycle and it was very easy to submit and there was no hassle at all. One thing that was confusing was the email address to put, but I called their customer service and they quickly explained it. There were a few errors with one of my letters of recommendation and, since it was confidential, I wasn't aware of it. Luckily, Interfolio caught these mistakes during their review process and told me to inform the letter writers. There are some schools that did need a letter separate from AADSAS so having it saved on Interfolio would be helpful for that as well.

Interfolio all the way. Aadsas received my letters from them the same day, and if there's a mistake interfolio makes it really easy to fix it.

My HPAC submitted my stuff so I am assuming they used interfolio.

I used Interfolio, and everything went smoothly.

Note that if you do need to reapply, Interfolio will keep your LORs (with a small subscription fee), while sending it directly to AADSAS will not.

I thought AADSAS was going to save applications starting this year. Are the LORs not included?

Did you have to link an identification like your CAS ID?

No you don't. When a confidential letter is uploaded onto Interfolio, it'll generate a new email address for that letter on Interfolio. Then on CAS you would input that new email address generated from Interfolio and CAS will then get the letters from Interfolio so it's still be confidential.
