Hi all! This is my first post on here, so go easy on me please?

Anyway, I am currently applying for various Psy.D. programs and I JUST learned about Interfolio. Apparently I can use it for my letters of recommendation? So, can y’all explain to me what Interfolio is, how it works regarding LOR, and if it applies to PSYCAS and other graduate programs with their own application portals (Rutgers, Baylor, etc.)?

I tried looking it up but there are only explanations for med and dental students. Does it only work for them? I genuinely had no idea it existed until someone told me about it last night.

I appreciate any information you have. Thank you!

This is not the most helpful reply, but just wanted to let you know that I have never heard of this service or of any colleagues/students using it. The process of sending LORs is going to be different depending on the school. Some will want it straight from the letter writer, some will want them to submit directly through an online system, some might want it directly from you (though less common). Personally, I wouldn't bother paying $50 for a service to help send my letters for me...tbh it just sounds like they are charging to be an extra middle man for you.

I've applied to academic jobs via Interfolio before. The places I was applying to asked me to submit materials and solicit LOR through there (without needing to pay anything). It's basically just another way for job sites to accept files/application materials.
