Any of you other interns here having as much fun as me? I just started this week and I don't know WTF is going on half the time and running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. The learning curve is even worse than I expected. It especially sucks when one of your coresidents did an internship last year and is pretty much a 2nd year resident and makes YOU look like you have Downs. But thank god the other resident is pretty much clueless like me😀 On a better note, I did get to put on my first set of arch bars and got to do half a set of impacted wizzies. It's nice to be able to use the drill anytime without having anyone breathing down your neck. It's also really nice to finally have assistants and to be able to sign for your own prescriptions. Overall, it's been a little stressful and overwhelming at times but I'm glad to be here and can't wait to start doing some cool cases.

How are you other newbs holding out? Do you ol' timers have any good stories/advice from when your were newbs?

wow...how cute...wouldn't expect such an emotional and openly communicative email from an oral surgery resident. if your program is anything like the ones i know don't talk out loud with this stuff or you will get chewed up and spit back out. i hope somehow the responses you receive on this forum will make you feel better since i guess that's what you're looking for...
