this is my second time applying to pharm school and already receive a rejection letter. am almost giving up:scared: .currently attending university in texas.
any international student or anybody sailing in the same boat?
any advice?

HI, When I first went to the pharmacy school I wanted to apply, they asked me what was my status. I told them I was an F-1 but I would get a green card. then they told me I should have at least green card, that my chance to get in would increase a lot. So you should ask the pharmacy school what percentage of international students they accept every year. May be due to the fact that Americans themselves are very willing to get in pharmacy school, then it make harder for the international students.

you in pharmacy school right now?
getting a green card will be hard for me.

hi am an international student too this is my first time applying to pharm school and am hoping for the best i took all my courses at CC in texas which college are you in. i applied to texas A &m and TSU HOW ABOUT YOU

I had my interview from U of iowa on Feb 10th. I don't think I did very well because my writting was horrible. they asked me to write two essays according to two different questions. I didn't fully prepare for the interview questions because it wouldn't be natural for me. So overall, I don't think I will be their top choice.

I did get my green card last year. And school of pharmacy told me that help a lot. So i strongly suggest you ask the advisor for the pre-pharmacy students. I also heard that some people who didn't have green card got in. Don't worry, try your best.

I also am a international student without a green card and I finished my pre-req all in my country not here. I have 3 interviews so far and one already be rejected. And also I have been rejected several others without even an interview. Still not giving up yet, but not hoping too much.

Hey guys, I am also an international student hoping to get into pharmacy school. I had my interview (Feb 10th) with the University of Arizona which happens to be the only school I applied to. Will be graduating this May in Texas and expecting a reply any moment from now.
