Hi! I can't believe I only found this forum now, what a great resource! I'm in the middle of sending my applications off to grad schools and did NOT realise how complicated and long-winded the process was!

Any other people from outside the US applying? I tried to talk a little about my background in a diversity statement but didn't really dwell on it, I figured it's obvious I'm from another country and would have a different perspective etc....What do you think?

Your cultural and ethnic perspective is only one aspect of you. What about your intrapsychic and interpersonal perspectives? How do they inform your interests or what kind of clinician you want to be? Grad schools want people who can demonstrate that they are multifaceted.

Good luck! :luck:

I think this is a great idea! I think that increasing diversity is a major goal of many graduate programs and they would like to hear about your unique perspective, so long as you can tie it in with your research interests.

Quick question though, is that your final list? And if so, how open are you to the prospect of applying again if you don't get in this year? Hopefully I'm not a total Debbie Downer but you have chosen only the most highly selective programs to apply to, but I'm sure you know that 😉
