I am really interested in applying to a DO schools but I was wondering what are the chances of getting in since I am an international student in USA?

well about 10 of 25 DO schools state on their website that they accept internationals. So apply to the 10 or so and see how many interviews you get. My guess is 1-5 depending on your stats.

you're already in the states? If so, you won't need to get your grades evaluated.

Yes, I have been in the USA for the past 4 years. I know that most of the DO schools do accept international students but I got an impression that they will always chose a citizen over an international student. Most of the international students that I know apply to Caribbean schools which is not really my choice.

I'm an international student. Got accepted at Lecom Erie and on the high waitlist for TouroCOM NY.

I sent it my primaries early January and then secondaries in late January to early February of this year and my stats are not that impressive. So its definitely doable relative to MDs

i know plenty of internationals (mostly canadians) that were accepted to DO schools this past year.

NOVA and LECOM are my top choices but I called LECOM couple of times and sometimes they tell me they do accept internationals sometimes they say they don't so I can't really figure out what is going on. I will be taking the MCAT on August 5th so I might be applying little bit late which might reduce my chances of getting in. How many DO schools did you apply to?
