Hi guys, I am going to apply to UOP and I am an international student. I am wondering how many international students they accept each year. I know they are a private school and do not have a preference on which state you come from, but i am not sure their policy about international student. Is there any international student here got accepted by UOP?

I don't know the number of international students per class. I've met a couple kids from the philipines, but they're US citizens. I would definitely suggest calling UOP. The admissions dept is relatively nice and pretty forthcoming with information. Better yet, if you live close enough, you should go in and tour the school and meet with an advisor. They'll get to know who you are even before receiving your app. With the 2000 or so applications they receive every year, every little bit towards standing out will help.

I was under the impression that they admit around 15 people into their international program each year. But, I haven't tried to confirm if that is true.

UOP's IDS (International Dental Studies) program is 2 years and for foreign dentists who've recieved their dental degree in their home country but wish to get their DDS. I think their program has around 4-6 (?) spots per class.

If you do not have your dental degree from your home country and wish to apply to UOP's standard 3 year DDS program, take Sherm's advice and contact the school for more particulars.

Best of luck to you.

Have you got your financing sorted out? Do you know that as an international student there is no aid or federal loans for you? hope you have a weathly co-signer otherwise you are SOL.
