Hi, all 🙂

I think this thread will give me some practical advice. Most med schools require applicants like me to have at least one year of study at US college, but I did not have. Is there any short term programs I can attend to meet this requirement? I've work in an office for three years after grad. I do not want to re-enter the college again. It's too long. I've heard of smp. Are there any alternatives?

Thanks for the replies to come😍

Of those MD med schools that accept international applications, a few require only one year of coursework through a US or Canadian college before med school applications, and they are highly-selective, as I recall (eg, Yale, UChicago, Einstein). Most require 2-3 years and, rarely, an entire degree is needed. The vast majority want all the prerequisite coursework be included in this requirement.

AACOMAS DO med schools that take international applications do accept international transcripts.

I suggest that you do a Search in this forum, using search term "international" and read up on the issues you face.
