Can anyone one tell me when most internships end and when we begin pgy2 year if we are going from prelim to advanced position??

You would begin PGY 2 year on July 1. This is the universal date where everyone moves up a year and the incoming interns start. Your intern year may end as late as June 30, but some programs may give all of their interns the last week off (not really give...just everyone in the program takes one of their vacation weeks at this time...it's kind of forced). In this case, intern year would finish on June 23. Check with your program.
