Can someone point me toward a site that is good for finding internships and/or research opportunities? I have done a search, but I have yet to find a site to help me.

This information is not likely to be cataloged by any one website. It changes quickly and there's not a whole lot of incentive to run such a site.

Try searching the websites of particular universities in your area.

For unpaid internships, look for labs that you might want to volunteer in, and just write to the people who work there.

For paid work as a research assistant, look on the human resources/jobs section of the university.

If you live near a teaching hospital they usually have fairly large research departments and take on student interns quite frequently.

Hi There,

My Volunteer Supervisor gave me a couple of leads on this topic:

http://people.rit.edu/gtfsbi/Symp/premed.htm

This is a HUGE list of opportunities for premed students; may take awhile to go through and identify programs that meet your needs...

http://www.needymeds.org/indices/other_programs.shtml

Take a chance and look at this other link; while it's focus is resources to find low-cost Rx drugs, it has contact info for DOZENS of organizations (health clinics, non-profit, hospital programs, etc). May not be what you're looking for - but you never know...

Hope that helps 🙂
