I was recently speaking with an OB/Gyn about BTLs. He told me that PP tubals are very different to do from Interval tubals due to the increased blood flow due to pregnancy. Unfortunately, I've never scrubbed in on a tubal while in medical school. Can anyone shed some light on this topic for me?

Thanks!

I went in on a number of PP tubals as a third year and I never saw a problem with bleeding. They always did it PPD #1 through a small incision near the umbilicus. Dissect down, "fish for the tubes", tie off and cut the tubes, put 'em back, close things up. That's what happened here, anyway...
